These fittings consist of about 63% nickel and 28–34% copper, along with trace amounts of iron, manganese, silicon, and carbon. This solid-solution alloy boasts remarkable resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis, while also providing excellent mechanical properties. With a tensile strength ranging from 480 to 620 MPa, they exhibit high ductility and outstanding toughness, even in sub-zero temperatures. Additionally, they resist pitting, oxidation, and stress-corrosion cracking, maintaining their integrity under high pressures and temperatures. With a melting point of around 1300°C, Monel 400 ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions.
