Invar 42 Bars consist of about 42% nickel and 58% iron, along with small amounts of carbon, silicon, and manganese. This distinctive blend results in a very low thermal expansion coefficient up to 300°C, excellent dimensional stability, and solid mechanical strength. The bars boast a tensile strength of around 520 MPa and maintain their magnetic stability even with temperature fluctuations. They also provide good machinability, moderate resistance to corrosion, and can be easily welded and shaped, making them ideal for high-precision manufacturing tasks.
