The ERNiCrMo-3 wire is crafted from a nickel-based alloy that contains around 58–63% Ni, 20–23% Cr, 8–10% Mo, and 3.15–4.15% Nb + Ta, with iron kept to a maximum of 5% and other impurities like Mn, Si, Cu, C, P, and S carefully controlled. In terms of mechanical properties, the as-welded deposit boasts a tensile strength of approximately 760–870 MPa and an elongation of up to 30–35%, ensuring it can handle demanding conditions with ease.

This ERNiCrMo-3 SAW and flux welding wire is ideal for applications that require outstanding corrosion resistance, high strength, and creep stability. It’s commonly used for overlaying or welding high-nickel alloys like Inconel 625, in dissimilar metal welds, offshore structures, chemical-processing equipment, power-plant components, and marine hardware. The flux-submerged arc (SAW) format enables high productivity and deep-penetration welds in heavy fabrication, particularly where the welded metal needs to endure harsh wet, acidic, or saline environments.
